Visions & Aims
1. To provide an integrated community hub and approach to health and wellbeing for the people in Runnymede and surrounding areas in North West Surrey along the River Thames.
2. To empower the people in our community to take responsibility for their own health and social well-being, food supply and education in order to enhance quality of life.
3. To promote and support mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing in the local community by offering various activities facilitated by a range of skilled people.
Values
1. We do no harm and take responsibility
We do no harm, treating everyone with mutual respect regardless of role or level of experience. Our Hub is a safe space for everyone and we take responsibility for our own actions, not seeking to apportion blame but to find solutions.
2. We encourage self empowerment
We encourage self empowerment through the sharing of knowledge and expertise whilst recognising that each of us are free beings with free will.
3. We encourage active participation
We encourage active participation with each member contributing ideas and solutions to fulfil the Vision and Aims.
4. We recognise the importance of prevention
We recognise the importance of preventative care and embrace an integrative and inclusive approach to health. Good health is a right, not a privilege.
5. We recognise the role of nature
We recognise the role of nature in healing and that we are a part of it. We also recognise that spirituality is an integral part of our well-being.
6. We collaborate
We collaborate with each other and in the community, committing to self-improvement and building our knowledge.
7. We do not tolerate the violation of people’s rights
We do not tolerate the violation of freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the right to free and informed consent, the right to bodily integrity. We remain lawful at all times. The well-being of the people in our community comes before profit and power.
